A You can search for information in three ways:

  • Keyword – Type in resource or service you need in the keyword box, click on search and a list of the programs that match your keyword will be displayed on the screen. Click on the name of the program to get program details.
  • Name of Agency or Program – If you know the name of the agency or program you need, click on the agency or program drop down. Agencies and programs are listed alphabetically. Click on the name of the agency or program for details.
  • Categories: Click on the category of service you need. A list of topics will be displayed; click on the topic that best fits your need. A list of agencies and programs will be displayed you can select by clicking on the name to get details.


Q What kind of resource information is included in FIRST Line Online?

A



  • Non profit organizations which provide services in health, welfare, support, recreation, education or advocacy organizations.
  • Local, state and federal government agencies which provide services in the area of health, welfare, recreation, education.
  • Civic groups, faith based organizations, professional associations and community groups which offer services to the community.
  • Support Groups
  • Elected Representatives – Local, State and Federal

For-profit organizations are considered on an individual basis. Inclusion is based on uniqueness of service, lack of comparable or sufficient services available through the public sector or non profit agencies as well as degree of need for the service.
Note: A site visit and evidence of tax-exempt status may be required prior to inclusion.



Q Does FIRST Line Online have the same information that is included in the Directory of Community Resources?

A Yes, and More! The 2008 Directory of Community Resources excludes most for-profit organizations due to space limitations. FIRST Line Online evaluates for Profit organizations for inclusion in the online directory based on the criteria described in the Inclusion Policy described in Question 2.



Q How can I get information about an agency or program included in FIRST Line Online?

A Detailed information about agency or program operation must be submitted for evaluation by FIRST Line Staff. Click here to request an Agency Survey Form. All agencies and programs must meet the criteria described in Question 2 for inclusion in FIRST Line Online.
